County Waste Transfer Station

County Waste-Owner/Century-GC - Henrico, VA

The County Waste transfer station is located on 11 acres in Henrico, VA.  This project involved all aspects of site construction.  Shoosmith Construction crews cleared the land, graded the site and installed the water, storm and sanitary utilities.  This project involved the construction of a large retention basis located at the front of the property.  The soil in the area was extremely wet, so Shoosmith worked with the owner to come up with the most cost effective solution to remove the poor soil and bring in structural fill for the project. After the building and scales were installed, Shoosmith crews coordinated the paving and concrete work to give the customer the finished product they were expecting.  The project was completed in May of 2019.
